A key event in the agricultural sector, Agriumbria once again proved to be a vital hub for innovation and industry dialogue, featuring exhibitions, live demonstrations, and strategic partnerships with AIA and FederUnacoma.

As part of the event organized by OPIT – Organizzazione Produttori Italiani Tabacco, the seminar “Anger Bi Control Tobacco: an innovative and effective solution for sustainable phytoregulation of tobacco“, moderated by Anna Ciancolini (Novamont), presented a breakthrough in sustainable tobacco cultivation.

Our partner Novamont introduced 𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐫-𝐁𝐢 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥 𝐓𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐨, a biodegradable plant growth regulator based on pelargonic acid. Designed for axillary bud control in tobacco, it works by contact, showing results in as little as 3 hours, with field trials demonstrating comparable effectiveness to traditional products—at lower dosages.

The seminar attracted around 70 technicians and agricultural entrepreneurs, highlighting strong interest in sustainable solutions and innovation across the Italian tobacco supply chain.
